Biography
The alternative pop ensemble 100 Watt Smile, based in San Francisco, took its lead from singer and violinist Carrie Bradley, a former participant in Ed's Redeeming Qualities who also recorded and toured alongside the Breeders. Guitarist Scott Greiner, bassist Scott Houston, and drummer Michael Hart completed the lineup. The band originated in 1994 after placing several tracks on compilations, releasing a self-titled demo in 1997; its full-length album And Reason Flew arrived later that year and later received a reissue on Thirsty Ear in 1999.
