Biography
Blending pop, R&B, hip-hop, and soul into an energetic sound, the Southern California family group 13 Crowns first drew nationwide notice in 2018 through the Poo Bear-produced track “Grateful.” The seven oldest offspring of Haini Wolfgramm—bassist for the popular 1980s family act the Jets—and Sarah Wolfgramm, once a vocalist in the RCA-signed 1990s band Blush, make up the lineup: vocalists Abraham and Tihane, bassist Isabella, guitarists Maikeli and Heinrich, keyboardist Eve, and drummer Nora. With parental support for their artistic goals, the home-schooled siblings devoted several years to mastering their instruments inside the family residence in Redlands, California, before connecting with producer Poo Bear, whose credits include Justin Bieber and Jennifer Lopez. Drawing influence from Earth, Wind & Fire, the Fugees, Bruno Mars, and Beyoncé, 13 Crowns collaborated with Poo Bear on their debut EP and issued their initial single, “Grateful,” in early 2018.
