Biography
Guitarist Bill Dolan teamed up with drummer John Herndon, bassist LeRoy Bach, and keyboardist Jeremy Jacobsen to launch the instrumental fusion/funk outfit 5ive Style. Their first album, issued under the band’s own name, surfaced in 1995. A lengthy pause then followed, during which Herndon resumed his commitments with Tortoise and Dolan completed an LP for his parallel project Heroic Doses, before 5ive Style resurfaced in 1999 with Miniature Portraits.
