6er Gascho

Emerging from Bern as a hip-hop collective rooted in Switzerland, 6er Gascho put out their initial mixtape during the earliest years of the 2000s. Limited local sales around their immediate area did little to hinder the momentum built through extensive touring across the country, which in turn secured the resources for a formal debut EP titled Schawarz uf Wiss (Black on White) to appear in 2005. The group followed with their first full-length album, Itz Oder Nie (Now or Never), issued in March 2006; its lead single achieved notable success, while festival stages across larger events occupied much of the band’s 2007 schedule. Alongside those major performances, 6er Gascho delivered a second album that same year, Jugendstil (Youth Style), an effort that reached the Swiss top twenty.
