99 Percent

The West Coast pair known as 99 Percent crafts expansive club anthems designed for parties, frequently weaving in elements of hip-hop dance routines. Cameron "Camo" Schaver and Johnnie "Jay B" Jacob, Jr., both from Vallejo, California, first connected during middle school and began collaborating in 2009. Their 2013 single "Yike in It" ignited a widespread dance trend. Both that cut and the viral follow-up "Double Dip" landed on the 2014 Yike in It EP, which also showcased Sage the Gemini and Problem on the track "Let Her Go." A more pop-focused direction emerged the next year with the release of "Does Ya Mama Know (Dance Like That)." In 2016 the duo signed on to the Let's Dance tour alongside Silentó and iLoveMemphis, a run that aligned with the arrival of their booming bass electro cut "Till Ya Legs Hurt." Their first appearance on the Hot 100 arrived in 2017 via the Flo Rida collaboration "Cake," featured on the This Is a Challenge compilation.
