Biography
A Smile and a Ribbon is the Swedish indie pop duo of Rebecca Melman and Martin Lindqvist, whose sweet, simple songs—cute as a button—evoke the style of Talulah Gosh, Tilly and the Wall, and Cub. Shelflife issued the pair’s debut full-length, The Boy I Wish I Never Met, in the fall of 2007. The following spring they undertook a modest U.K. tour to promote the record, joining the likeminded indie pop ensemble Cats on Fire for a London date.
