Biography
A Weather first coalesced as a warm, intimate folk-pop ensemble over the 2006 holiday season, when vocalists Aaron Gerber and Sarah Winchester invited guitarist Zach Boyle, bassist Louis Thomas, and second guitarist Aaron Krenkel to expand their harmony-driven material. The Portland-based group blended rich sonic swells with understated passages and soon secured a deal with Team Love Records, the label co-owned by Conor Oberst and Nate Krenkel, Aaron’s brother. Feather Test appeared on the imprint in spring 2007. Building on the 7" record’s reception, the five-piece issued its debut full-length, Cove, the following year and followed with the sophomore album Everyday Balloons in 2010.
