Biography
Drawing from a blend of 1960s psychedelic rock and spaghetti Western film scores, the Finland-based band Aavikko wove in their own instrumental textures rooted in free jazz and avant-garde noise. Bad Vugum Records helped shape this approach for release, resulting in the group's self-titled debut EP appearing in 1996. The following year brought their next full-length effort, Derek!.
