Abadon

Formed during the closing years of the 1980s, the Ecuadorian heavy metal ensemble known as Abadon spent the following ten years navigating numerous personnel shifts and small-scale gigs before initiating work on their first recording project in July 1999. This effort resulted in the prompt release of a self-titled effort on cassette. The five-piece metal outfit also contributed tracks to a regional anthology titled La Zona del Metal II, which Metal Subterra Records—an independent label—put out during April 2001 and which included the band's renditions of "Heavy Metal" along with "En Busca De Tu Nombre."
