Abel & Rawls

Ward Abel, who contributes guitar, vocals, flute, and keyboards, teamed with Steve Rawls on guitars, bass, keyboards, and vocals after the pair spent several years together in the Jacob Rye Band. In 1994 they launched their aptly named project Abel & Rawls. The self-released debut Two Months arrived in 1997, its guitar-based rock and melodic vocals yielding broad pop appeal, and was followed four years later by As We Wake From Our Sleep.
