Abhorrent

Formed in 1988 within Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, Abhorrent emerged as a death/thrash metal act during the period when Sepultura helped elevate the nation's burgeoning metal community to global attention. Their debut full-length effort, Rage, arrived in 1996, at which point vocalist Robson Aldeoli stood as the sole original member still involved. A contribution to the 1999 Megadeth tribute project came in the form of their rendition of "She Wolf," yet another two years passed before a fresh configuration—featuring guitarists Marcus Vireoli and Hudson Andre, bassist Leandro Soares, and drummer Carlos Fibrian—convened to lay down tracks for the 2001 release Caution! Strong Irritant L.P.
