Biography
Abside, a quartet hailing from Spain and specializing in rock, came together through the efforts of drummer Arturo Torres, guitarist Javier Saldarriaga, and bassist Carles Vásquez before vocalist Clara Alvez completed the lineup. Drawing primary inspiration from U.S. alternative metal acts alongside electric funk, the group produced a demo specifically for entry into a regional rock competition and later returned to the studio in 2001 for sessions that yielded their first full-length release.
