Los Angeles-based rock group Acidic fuses exuberant guitar-driven energy with a raw hard-rock edge, melodic songwriting, and refined studio craft. The project revolves around vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Michael Gossard, who launched the band while still attending high school in Southern California. Drawing from classic-rock touchstones such as the Beatles and Led Zeppelin alongside later influences like Green Day and Jane's Addiction, Gossard began performing locally and ultimately issued the self-released 2008 debut Ironic Dreams. Still in their teens, the musicians steadily climbed the live circuit, appearing at SXSW and opening for Hawthorne Heights during 2010; that same year they issued the follow-up Getting Lucky, produced by Wizardz of Oz.

Working with veteran producer John Ryan, whose résumé includes Styx and the Allman Brothers, Acidic completed their third album Chronic Satisfaction in 2011. Its single “Uninspired” earned national radio play and broadened the band’s profile. In 2012 the group performed at the Winter NAMM show in Anaheim and headlined a well-attended concert at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. Their fourth studio release, Copper Man, arrived in 2013; again produced by Ryan, the record included a guest spot from Candlebox’s Kevin Martin. That year Gossard also appeared on the fifth season of the FOX series Glee. Capitalizing on their growing national visibility, Acidic mounted their first headlining trek, the Electric Cool-Aid ACIDIC Tour, in 2014.

The 2015 album Creatures was celebrated with a sold-out release party at The Viper Room in Los Angeles. Once more produced by longtime collaborator Ryan, the set steered Gossard and Acidic toward a sleeker, funk- and groove-oriented sound.
