Biography
Formed in Kettering, England, during the first months of 1977, the Acme Sewage Co. brought together vocalist/guitarist Ozzy, bassist Peter Barber, and drummer Simon Sewage, son of avant-rock legend Lol Coxhill. Though the group performed frequently across that year and appeared several times at the legendary Roxy, it is chiefly recalled for its name rather than its recordings. The band supplied material to the venue’s 1978 album Farewell to the Roxy and placed a brace of tracks on the Raw label’s Raw Deal compilation before splitting up later the same year.
