Biography
R&B-focused vocalist, composer, and beatmaker Christopher Dotson records under the name Prince Chrishan, though he is most often credited simply as Chrishan. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he later established himself in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2013 he supplied the songwriting for Little Mix’s chart-topping pop single “Wings,” which reached number one in multiple territories, among them the U.K. The next year proved especially busy: Dotson contributed to Adrian Marcel’s Billboard Top 30 R&B/Hip-Hop single “2 AM,” to Diggy Simmons’ “Ain't Bout to Do,” and to Kevin Gates’ “Homicide.” He also issued his first full-length project, Heart of a Lion, a set of warm, romantic pop-R&B that appeared exclusively in Japan.
