Biography
Adele Bertei, a dance music singer born in Germany and based in New York, contributed organ and guitar to the Contortions. Thomas Dolby produced her 1983 single "Build Me a Bridge," which registered as a dance and disco hit. Her voice featured on producer John "Jellybean" Benitez's U.K. hit "Just a Mirage" from 1988. That same year marked the arrival of her debut solo album, Little Lives. The adult contemporary hit "Little Lives, Big Love" appeared among its tracks.
