ADT

The improvisatory collective known as ADT, hailing from Chicago, delivers psychedelic free jazz laced with electronic swirls. Their live sets fluctuate between wild, euphoric outbursts and serene, introspective passages, all while exhibiting masterful command over dynamics and flow. Though the lineup shifts over time, key figures from the city's subterranean music community have contributed to the project. Guitarist Jake Acosta joined drummer Ben Billington of Quicksails and Tiger Hatchery, saxophonist Carlos Chavarria, plus electronic artists Kyle Drouin and Adam Tramposh for the recording of their first album, Insecurities. Cooper Crain, associated with Cave and Bitchin Bajas, captured the sessions during spring 2016, with Hausu Mountain issuing the LP in February 2018.
