Aero Chord

Aero Chord represents the work of Alex Vlastaras, an EDM producer based in Athens, Greece. Although frequently placed in the trap category, his productions have drawn from a wider range of styles such as dubstep, trance, drum'n'bass, moombahton, and hardstyle. The resulting tracks deliver dramatic, adventurous, and cinematic qualities alongside a nostalgic, sentimental undertone. A cousin active in Goa and psy-trance production prompted Vlastaras to begin creating music during his teenage years with the program Reason. He adopted the Aero Chord alias in 2011, and by 2013 Monstercat, the noted Canadian EDM label, had begun issuing his material. A steady sequence of singles and remixes appeared on the imprint, joined in 2014 by the EP New Breed Part 1 on High Intensity Records. Festival bookings included Spring Awakening and Carnival of Bass, after which Vlastaras launched his first North American tour in June 2015. Monstercat released the EP Love & Hate in 2016.
