Biography
Hailing from Chicago, the experimental acid house pair Africans with Mainframes comprises Jamal Moss, known as Hieroglyphic Being, alongside Noleian Reusse. Their productions, echoing much of Moss's broader catalog, emerge raw and unrefined from unplanned analog hardware sessions. Space, science fiction, and African history serve as recurring inspirations for the duo's track titles. The pair's first appearance on record arrived in 2001 through an untitled EP on Moss's Mathematics Recordings, introduced by Chicago house veteran Steve Poindexter. Across the subsequent fifteen years, more EPs surfaced on Mathematics as well as imprints such as Crème Organization and Bio Rhythm. Their first full-length arrived in 2016 when Soul Jazz Records issued K.M.T.
