Biography
Formed in San Francisco, Agenda of Swine emerged as a side effort whose launch was postponed by the demands of its participants’ primary groups. Pete Pontikoff of Bunumb joined forces with Jeff Lenormand and John Gotelli of Vulgar Pigeons to sketch the concept in 2004. The project remained dormant until 2006, when both Bunumb and Vulgar Pigeons entered extended hiatus, finally freeing the musicians to commit fully. That same year Emad Jaghab was brought in on bass and Jason Behan on drums, completing the lineup. Throughout 2007 the group refined its approach to grind and death metal, and by autumn the material was prepared for public exposure. Demo recordings were forwarded to Relapse Records, which promptly offered a contract. The resulting debut album, Waves of Human Suffering, appeared in 2008; promotion that year included spring and summer tours alongside Attitude Adjustment and Cattle Decapitation.
