Biography
The melodic rock and post-punk revival trio Air Traffic Control, based in Nova Scotia, revolves around brothers Kirk and Jordi Comstock together with their cousin Luke Comstock. Kirk, who handles vocals and guitar, joined Jordi on vocals and drums to begin performing locally in Lunenburg during the early 1990s under the earlier name Madhat. Several albums appeared while they used that moniker, starting with Freak in 1993 and continuing through 2002’s Through the World. After a series of personnel adjustments that included Luke joining on bass, the group adopted the name Air Traffic Control in 2005 and issued its self-titled album that same year. To Be Free appeared in 2007.
