Biography
Initially recognized by the moniker Kool Ass Fashion, often shortened simply to Fashion, the performer aligned himself with the legendary Beatnuts crew that included Psycho Les and JuJu. His appearance came on their Intoxicated Demons EP, which surfaced in 1993. Following his conversion to Islam, he adopted the name Al Tariq and launched an independent career. The first solo album God Connections reached audiences in 1996 and was followed a year later by Kool Fresh.
