Biography
Alecia Elliott, a contemporary country singer, first saw the light of day in Muscle Shoals, AL, on Christmas Day, 1982. Lorrie Morgan, a country star, found herself so taken with Elliott's demo recordings that she extended an onstage invitation for a duet when the aspiring artist was only nine; regular performances throughout Nashville followed in the ensuing years, leading to a 1995 slot at the Grand Ole Opry Inaugural Concert for Tennessee Governor Don Sundquist. Further travels took Elliott across Europe and onto the stage at the White House, after which she secured a contract with RCA and unveiled her debut album I'm Diggin' It in early 2000.
