Biography
Electronic dance music forms the core of Aleixa, a group previously operating as Sorrow of Seven and drawing stylistic parallels to Curve and the B-52's. Laurel Snapper and April Lassiter handled vocals while Kevin 131 managed programming and guitar, and the three performed together under the Sorrow of Seven name between 1991 and 1994, issuing one self-released album each year in the form of Red, Teal, Amber, and a set of demos. The CCM trio subsequently adopted the Aleixa moniker, putting out Honey Lake on the Flying Tart label in 1995, after which Disfigured appeared in 1999. Kevin 131 has also contributed to projects with Deitiphobia and to the Sill effort alongside Evol Eye Jeni.
