Spanish pianist Alejandro Clavijo crafts pieces that stretch from wistful neo-classical odes to spectral, minimalist improvisations. The Seville-based musician established the online magazine Reviews New Age and served as producer and concert promoter for performers such as Will Ackerman, David Lanz, and Chad Lawson before issuing his own compositions in the early 2020s.

Clavijo launched Reviews New Age in 2010 as a publication focused on an expansive array of sounds stretching from ambient, lounge, and neo-classical to Celtic and conventional new age styles. Across the 2010s he divided his efforts between writing reviews, editing the magazine, and coordinating concerts in Spain for key figures in the genre including Suzanne Ciani and Peter Kater. His own recordings began appearing in 2021 with an improvisation on John Williams' "Somewhere in My Memory." During 2022 he released multiple original solo piano works including "When She Dreams..." and "She Carries Her Own Light." In 2024 the artist reemerged with an adaptation of Gustav Holst's "Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity" taken from the composer's famed suite The Planets.
