Alex Maxwell

Alejandra Maeve Maxwell-Blanco came into the world in London, daughter of an Irish father and Spanish mother. The singer/songwriter Alex Maxwell absorbed a broad spectrum of sounds stretching from Fleetwood Mac to traditional flamenco. After settling in Madrid, Maxwell began composing at the piano upon reaching age 12. A stretch of busking preceded her return to London in 2014, where she captured her earliest demos at Abbey Road Studios and secured a contract with Hollywood Records. Throughout 2015 she turned her attention to recording her debut album. The dreamy “Drive” served as her opening single; produced by the Flight (Lana Del Rey, Empire of the Sun, Björk, David Bowie), the track stirred early interest and prompted a hard-hitting electro remix from French producer Monsieur Adi. Signs, her debut EP, appeared in late 2016.
