Born in England, Alex Petridis has maintained a professional DJ career since 1988, consistently energizing dancefloors worldwide through his straightforward approach to hard house. Alongside Brandon Block, he belongs to the veteran generation of UK house selectors—industrious, pleasure-seeking figures wholly immersed in the sonic and social fabric of club environments. His reputation took shape amid the initial wave of acid house at gatherings including Sunrise, Back To The Future and Energy. He also formed part of the foundational Ibiza club movement that emerged on the island during the early 1990s, securing residencies at Amnesia, Ku and the Space Garden in 1990. His commitment to the destination endures, with annual summer appearances there. In the years since, he has performed at every prominent UK house venue, among them Ministry Of Sound, Clockwork Orange, Up Yer Ronson, Gatecrasher, Passion, Colours and The Gallery. Numerous compilations bear his mixes, while a range of singles feature his remixes. His own productions encompass “Predator” by Airtight and “Forever” by Alex. On Kiss 100 FM he co-hosts a weekly UK radio program with Brandon Block under the name Peezee, drawing consistent large listenership.
