Biography
Algeron Wright, a contemporary gospel performer, crafts intense and dynamic tracks designed to inspire and energize his audience. As a vocalist, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist working independently, he has put out Live in the Carolinas in 2008 along with Live: With Family & Friends in 2013, followed by individual tracks such as the uplifting "Created to Win" from 2021. His powerful vocals and emphasis on togetherness drive every release.
Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Wright has functioned in roles as a minister and minister of music. His debut effort came with the independent issuance of Live in the Carolinas during 2008. Captured at Stevenson Auditorium, that recording featured contributions from LeJeune Thompson, Curtis Young, Sr., Eartha Wright, and Thomas Wright. In 2013, five years afterward, he put forth the widely circulated Live: With Family & Friends, which involved an expanded circle including Angela Spivey, Izzy, Lowell Pye, and D'Vine, the vocal ensemble he once belonged to. More recently, he has delivered the 2016 single "I Really Love You" as well as "Created to Win" in 2021.
