Alissa Moreno

Alissa Moreno works as a pianist and vocalist, bringing sincere songwriting to intimate and melodic contemporary pop. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where her parents taught on a Navajo reservation, she is the granddaughter of drummer Bob Moreno, whose résumé included performances with Mel Tormé and other artists. Her grandfather’s urging to continue musical studies helped Moreno grow into an accomplished performer, songwriter, and highly sought teacher. Professional opportunities have taken her across multiple environments, among them a role as vocal coach for actor Ben Affleck on the set of his film Hollywoodland. Her songs have appeared in film and television productions such as MTV’s The Hills and CBS’ How I Met Your Mother. A four-song EP is currently available, and her first full-length album was scheduled for release in late 2007.
