Biography
Related through kinship to pre-war Cajun fiddle master Leo Soileau, Alius Soileau joined his relative as duo partner in the final phase of Leo’s career. Alius generally supplied second-fiddle support and stepped forward to sing on occasion. The pair cut four songs, among them “Lake Arthur Stomp,” also known as “Sur le Chemin Chez Moi.”
