Biography
Al Trivette came into the world in Rosemonte, California, USA, where the initials ALT double as shorthand for Another Latin Timebomb. Growing up in that community four miles east of Los Angeles, he saw firsthand how drugs and violence had scarred the Latin population. A major label signed him quickly, hoping to profit from hardcore street rap while refusing to grant full artistic liberty. Constraints barring profane language crippled his debut album, and the two sides parted ways soon afterward. He next aligned with the independent Inner City, unveiling his second album through the track ‘Riding’ High’, a day-in-the-life account of the Latin neighbourhood.
