Biography
Uruguay metal act Amables Donantes originated in 1990 when vocalist Herardo Trápani, bassist Pablo Lugli, drummer Guzmán Vila, and guitarist Carlos Lugli joined forces. The quartet appeared at the local El Flechazo festival in October 1992 before delivering a concert to 6,000 spectators at Ramón Collazo's theatre. Javier Lorenzo entered the lineup on guitar in 1993. Their debut release, La Furia, reached stores in June 1995. Lorenzo exited the following year, during which the band shared bills with Argentine punk rock group los Violadores. Rodrigo Costas, ex-singer of Aníbal Caníbal, signed on in 1997. Two tracks surfaced on the Skate Rock 4 compilation in 1998. Manual de Supervivencia Urbana arrived by the end of 1999. In 2000 the regional rock organization Agítese bestowed honors that included Best Song of the Year for “El Mono Quiere Saltar,” Best Song Lyrics for “Mi Calle,” and Best Rock Drummer for Guzmán Vila.
