Emerging from New York, Amazing Baby came together in January 2008 and promptly stirred excitement among listeners and reviewers through a sonic approach that drew alternating comparisons to Marc Bolan and "a psychedelic Roxy Music." Shaped by their musical associates MGMT and built from former members of Stylofone, Diamond Nights, Lions & Tigers, Nebula, and the Heavy Hands, the band issued its debut EP, Infinite Fucking Cross, as a free Internet download in July 2008. Amazing Baby next arranged to launch a U.K. single that October, with a full-length album set to arrive in 2009.
