American Young

Formed in 2013, American Young consists of the country singer/songwriter duo Kristy Osmunson and Jon Stone, each of whom had already enjoyed success as Nashville songwriters prior to teaming up. A fiddle player, Osmunson had performed as part of Bomshel and placed her material with Jory + Rory and other artists, while Stone worked as a sought-after producer whose compositions were cut by Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, and additional acts. The pair initially set out to co-write songs, yet their vocal rapport quickly convinced them to explore performing together. Curb Records released their first self-titled EP in 2014, anchored by the singles “Love Is War” and “Wasn’t Gonna Drink Tonight.” The full-length album AY followed in 2016. American Young reemerged in 2019 with the EP Soundtrack of Your Life.
