Biography
Anat Damon, the Israel-based singer and songwriter, put out her first album, Falling, in 2003. The record blended introspective lyrics centered on the psyche with solid melodies and imaginative production that folded in orchestral touches hinting at the psychedelic years. Damon took up guitar and songwriting only near age thirty, a late start that followed her earlier career as an independent research consultant once she completed degrees in psychology and statistics. Demo work began as far back as 1996, yet Falling did not surface until 2003, even though she had already spent time in the music industry on the management side, including a stint overseeing the Israeli neo-psychedelic band Rockfour.
