Biography
Andrea Hamilton, a singer, pianist, and songwriter now based in California, spent her formative years in Kansas, where vocal expression came before she could form written words. High school marked the point at which she began composing with serious intent, entering professional songwriting by age sixteen. She moved to Los Angeles at eighteen, enrolling at Azusa Pacific University and completing a B.A. in music. After touring Asia in 2006 she organized an independent West Coast run upon returning to the United States. Her writing partnerships have included James Grey, Micah Dahlberg, Kevin Fisher, Leah Andreone, and Alan Waddington. Self-released projects started with the 2006 album Stronger Than I Seem, continued through 2007’s Live at Safe Haven and the Only Love EP, and extended to the full-length Deciding What to Keep in 2008. Green & Blue appeared on CD Baby in 2012, and Let Your Heart Be Light followed in 2013.
