Biography
Andrés Fierro launched his career as a Latin pop artist with the 2009 release of his self-titled debut album. He entered the world in El Paso, TX, before growing up just over the border in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, and later earned a degree from New York University after focusing his studies on the music business. His first commercial recording arrived in 2007 via the two-track single “My Loved One,” which paired the bilingual title song with “Dejame Tocarte”; Fierro wrote both cuts himself. Issued a couple of years afterward, the album Andrés Fierro was helmed by producer Camilo Froideval and consisted solely of cover versions, yielding the breakthrough single “Me Estoy Enamorando,” a track La Mafia had popularized in the early ’90s.
