Biography
Originating in Leicester, England rather than Ann Arbor, Michigan, the noisy indie rock/punk-influenced trio Ann Arbor consists of drummer Glenn, guitarist Tim, and a bassist. Several earlier groups that no longer exist, among them Fox Force Five, Manrae, Crossfire, and above all Half Seas Over, supplied the origins for Ann Arbor. Complete formation arrived in the late ’90s once Half Seas Over had disbanded. An initial setback came when Glenn suffered a back injury, yet the band kept performing regularly by substituting a drum machine. After establishing itself as a live act, Ann Arbor has appeared on stage with Burning Airlines, Feverdream, and the All Scars.
