Biography
Training occurred under Frederick Goosen, Bulent Arel, Daria Semegen, Mauricio Kagel, György Ligeti, Chour Wen-Chung, Jack Beeson, and Mario Davidowsky. Harp performance and improvisation took place in numerous ensembles, among them the LeBaron/Smith/Dixon trio and the LeBaron Quintet. Teaching positions were held at Stony Brook, University of Alabama, and Columbia University. Works include Concerto for Active Frogs (1975) and Strange Attractors for large orchestra (1987), accompanied by many awards and commissions.
