Biography
Anne Summers introduced their first long-player The Dandy in 1997, an album that displayed the trio’s buoyant power pop sound modeled on Elvis Costello and the Jam. Bassist Alec Boyagy, guitarist Andrew Poitano, and drummer Paul Swegle formed the core lineup, though eventual substitute Brad Samuels performed on several tracks, and the group later joined Beatville Records to issue Very Classy in 2000.
