Antonella Bucci, an Italian pop singer, first stepped into the spotlight by portraying Mary Magdalene in a school staging of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Her shift to a professional path occurred in 1989, triggered by victory at Castrocaro's New Voices contest with the song "C'e Un Motivo In Piu." That year also brought a recording contract from the local label DDD. Collaboration with Eros Ramazzotti soon followed, yielding the track "Amarti E L'immenso Per Me" for inclusion on In Ogni Senso. Antonella Bucci delivered her opening solo single "La Regazze Crescono" in 1992, which was succeeded by the debut album Il Mare Delle Nuvolo and a self-titled release in 1996.
