Biography
A singer and songwriter distinguished by her singular vocal style, April Start entered the world in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada, yet spent her formative years just across the border in Spokane, WA. Drawn to music from an early age, she relocated to New York City upon turning 18 in order to chase a career in the field. Taking full creative control, she composed and tracked her first album, Changes, before issuing the project independently in 2005. Multiple cuts from that release found placement on film and television soundtracks, among them the main title theme for the TLC program Makeover Train. Maintaining autonomy over her path, Start established the imprint Peace of the Music and turned her attention to recording a follow-up album.
