Biography
Since forming in 1993, The Aquadays have paired their electric pop sound with lyrics that carry a persistent undercurrent of heartfelt melancholy. The Gothenburg, Sweden-based trio—Lisa Aamot on electric organ, Martin Aamot on guitar and synthesizer, and Klara Albinsson on vocals—has drawn unavoidable comparisons to Abba and The Cardigans because of both their musical influences and geographic roots. After six years of European touring without issuing a record, the group finally released its debut album, Electric Songs, on Apricot Records in 1999.
