Biography
Arif, formerly known as Oslo-raised rapper Phil T. Rich, stepped away from the Norwegian crew BAWS to begin a solo run in 2012. He had co-founded the group in 2009 and supplied its sharp-witted, rapid-fire rhymes. The Kom Så Tok Færdiih EP arrived that same year, launching his independent work and securing the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s Untouched Artist of the Year prize. EMI/Warner Music Group signed him in 2013, after which he issued the second EP, Aldri & Alltid. “Lowkey” followed as a hit single in 2014, while “Kanke Gi Opp” and the album Highend/Asfalt both surfaced in 2015.
