Arley Pérez, known professionally as El Rayo de Sinaloa, performs as a vocalist, composer, and accordion player whose audience spans Northern Mexico and the Southeastern United States. Outlaw narcocorridos and rancheras define his core style, positioning him among the leading figures in the alternative corrido movement. Early exposure to Los Canelos de Durango sparked his interest; he started writing songs at eleven and, still a teenager, received guidance while supplying material to Los Titanes de Durango.

Two live recordings introduced him to the public in 2008: Arley Perez con Banda Ilusion: En Puerto Vallarta and Con Tololoche y Accordeon. Clips drawn from those projects—“El 24,” “M1,” “El Genio,” and “Ajustes Inzunza”—quickly accumulated millions of online views. While maintaining an active touring schedule across Northern Mexico, he issued further live and studio sets in rapid succession. The 2011 release El Cine marked his commercial arrival; although Mexican broadcasters largely barred its tracks for their graphic portrayals of drug-trade figures, listeners discovered the album through YouTube and streaming platforms. Cotizada, issued by Discos Sabinas in 2013, registered on multiple digital rankings. Ni Falta Que Hace followed in August 2016, containing fifteen original compositions, several of which—including the title track—dated to his eighteenth year. By December the album stood as his strongest seller to date.
