Biography
A French composer, organist, and harpsichordist succeeded his father in the post at St. Gervais. His children's musical talents allowed him to occupy multiple roles at once across St. Barthelemy, St. Jean-en-Greve, Sainte-Chapelle, Notre-Dame, and Carmes Billettes. His output centered especially on the harpsichord and encompassed sonatas, variations, and additional miscellaneous pieces. The only work in the musical literature scored for two knee-lever harpsichords remains Couperin's "Les quatre nations."
