Biography
In the 1980s Arthur Cormack stood among the most promising Gaelic-language vocalists, recognized for his clear, pure tone. The National Mod Gold award honored his debut album Nuair Bha Mi Og (When I Was Young) in 1983. He released the follow-up Ruith Na Gaoith: Old & New Songs Of The Scottish Gael in 1989 and joined Macmeanmna for tours of the award-winning production Skye-The Island, yet Cormack directed the greater share of his energies toward EISD, the music shop he had opened in the mid-1980s.
