Biography

Ashley, also known as La Chica Bomba [The Bomb Girl], launched her professional path fronting the tropical ensemble Las Chicas del Clan under the chief influence of popular Puerto Rican singer and actress Iris Chacón. The year 1997 marked her solo debut via the album Yo Soy La Bomba, which contained the hit single "La Chica Bomba," and she released Yo Soy La Reina before the year ended. International recognition arrived through a joint live appearance with Elvis Crespo together with the 1999 album Abrázame, an accomplishment backed by an extensive Latin American and U.S. tour.
