Atlanta

Formed in 1983, the country group Atlanta took its name from its Georgia base. Brad Griffis, Dick Stevens, Bill Packard, Allen Collay, Jeff Baker, Darrell "Boo Boo" McAfee, and Alan David made up the membership, four of whom had earlier sung with the Vogues. Their nine country-chart entries began with the 1983 single "Atlanta Burned Again Last Night." "Sweet Country Music" became the act’s highest-reaching release, climbing to number five on the country list in 1984.
