Biography
The Mexican pop/rock quartet Atómica launched its live appearances on the Mexico City club circuit in 1996. The four young women, bound by a shared enthusiasm for Europop and Latin rock, had previously performed under the name Las Hormigas. Their initial recording sessions with local producer Jorge Amaro led to BMG issuing the debut album in March 2000, which contained the hit single "El Viaje."
